An Invitation

Father Martin and the Catholic community in Glossop invite their fellow Christians to join them for Evening Prayer on the Sundays of Advent. The service, also called Solemn Vespers, includes two psalms, two Scripture canticles, and a brief Scripture reading, along with intercessions, a hymn, a prayer and a blessing.
It lasts a little over twenty minutes. There is a lot of singing, with simple melodies that are easy to pick up, and there are periods of quiet for silent prayer and reflection.
The service will be followed by light refreshments.
The venue is All Saints Catholic Church (SK13 7RJ) and the start time is 6pm on Sunday 8th, 15th and 22nd December. There is no collection taken at this service.
