CAP Course update

Four delegates completed the three-session CAP Money Management course held at Glossop Central Methodist Church on Thursday afternoons in March. The course was run by Ray Parkes (Glossop Central Methodist Church) and David Mundy (Glossop Parish Church of All Saints) at the request of Ed Kelly (Life Skills Coordinator) as part of the life-skills classes offered through The Bureau. As a result of advice received through the course, one delegate was able to open a bank account; another delegate commented that the course was easy to understand and had helped getting on top of their finances. It is anticipated that the course will be run again in the early summer. CAP – Christians Against Poverty – is a Christian charitable company specialising in debt counselling for people in financial difficulty, including those facing bankruptcy or insolvency.
