Christmas Services

Advent 4 Sunday 22nd December

10.30 am Holy Communion

6.30 pm Carol Service with refreshments afterwards.

Tuesday 24th, Christmas Eve

3.30 pm Crib Service. A service especially for the youngest children.

Every child can dress up in one of our costumes and choose a part. Easy, nursery rhyme carols, some of which will have been used in school and/or nursery this year, or which can be learned as we go along. About half an hour long, [once we get everyone dressed up….try and arrive a bit early!] and a lovely way to celebrate Christmas as it gets dark on Christmas Eve. We end with a biscuit and a drink.

6.30 pm Carols Round the Brazier. A highlight of the year at St Andrew’s as we gather informally with friends and neighbours around a bonfire in the car park. We end with refreshments indoors, including mulled wine. Not to be missed whatever the weather!

11.30 pm Both St John’s Charlesworth and All Saints the Parish Church have ‘midnight’ services.

9.30 am Christmas Day. Christmas Day Celebration for Everyone. Carols, a short all age talk and Holy Communion. Children and anyone else are welcome to bring a present which they’ve opened to show off at the beginning. During one of the carols there will be the opportunity to light a candle to remember those who are no longer with us and whose absence we feel acutely at Christmas. All within an hour and with no refreshments offered this time! Felicity Walters
